The Lowdown On Growing Roses

One of the better features of any garden is when you see roses growing there successfully.

Some people may be daunted by the thought of growing these wonderful plants, but they shouldn’t be.

Roses are easy to grow with a little TLC. They are the type of plant that constantly rewards the gardener and are excellent for new gardeners as well for this reason.

Pruning difficult – nahh! Takes no time to learn and anyway, you can’t go wrong really.

High maintenance – some say yes, I say no – with basic good care roses will forgive any neglect and continue to provide you with pleasure every season.

What is Basic Care?
1. Good soil prep
2. Deep watering in the hot months
3. Mulch and compost
4. Pruning – a wee bit more effort, but well worth it.
5. Fertilizing during the flowering period – actually, just add cow poo to your compost – which you should anyway.

That’s it really. All of the above you should be doing for all your garden anyway.

I have put all you need to know in a handy little e-book called “The Lowdown on Growing Roses Successfully”  Go to this page for more details
